The most awaited contest of the year in the region broadened its categories this year beyond Carmenére, giving space for more oenological expressions.

Vendimia Fest: a wine celebration that delivers the best Chilean wines to the capital city

One of the most awaited events of the year for wine lovers will be carried out the 20th and 21st of April in the Italia neighborhood, between Marin and Caupolican streets. A real urban party filled with flavor and fun. Free activities will start at noon both days, including special wine tastings from vineyards of different regions of the country. Vinos de Chile and the Providencia Municipality expect 45 thousand people to gather around our country’s signature drink on this year’s edition. 41 vineyards will be part of this event, including our Viña Aromo, who seeks to delight the most demanding palates with the flavor of the Maule valley – the heart of Chile. The iconic grape treading, live music, and local ventures will be part of its main attractions. In the words of Angelica Valenzuela, sales manager at Vinos de Chile: “We are very pleased to release this 2024 Vendimia Fest, a great urban party that allows bringing this traditional country custom to the city. An important part of Chilean culture, since we are a wine-making country! The invitation is set forth to connect with our roots and celebrate a new harvest”. Evelyn Mattei, mayoress of the Providencia commune, pointed out to news outlet Emol: “the strategic alliance established several years ago with Vinos de Chile, has allowed for collaboration between trade associations and local ventures, which has been key to make this festival come true, bringing us together around wine and allowing for business development and the strengthening of the cultural identity of the Italia neighborhood. It is a powerful account for a positive impact in the community through cooperation”. A wine glass is worth CLP $16,000, which includes 4 sample tickets.
